Something Old, Something New..

We've all heard this tradition over and over again but I really hadn't given it much thought until recently and decided it was time I figure out what I was going to do.

Something New -- well that was easy. My dress is new, my necklace and earrings are new, my shoes are new, I mean that's easy. We easily got that covered.

Something Old -- This was hard. I really don't have anything old and what my mom has old didn't fit with my look for the day.... that was until she went jewelry digging. And she found a ring my Nana had given her to give to me when I was grown. Of course I automatically loved it because it was my Nana's (who was the greatest woman ever!) even though it was dingy and dirty from sitting so long. It fit only on my pinky and desperately needed some work. So I dropped it by our favorite jeweler to see what they thought. Within four days I had my something old back --
So the picture's not the greatest but you get the drift. I am excited to have something of my Nana's with me at the wedding.

Something Borrowed -- We're real original here... I'm borrowing a handkerchief from my mom for all those tears.

Something Blue -- I made a blue garter from some lace that I bought at Hancock. It cost all of $1 so I'm stoked.

And today is the official one month countdown until the wedding. From here on out Blake & I can say... "This time next month we'll be married!" We are stoked. And can't wait.
