Bridesmaid Dresses are in!

They're here! They're here! 6 months before the wedding the bridesmaid dresses have arrived! The girl called me from Smithfield this past week so we went this weekend to pick them up. Momma, Logan, & I drove down there and got them all. They turned out to be sooo beautimous!

I'm pretty stoked because I hadn't actually seen the color until the dresses actually came in so I was glad that I hadn't made the girls spend $150 on a dress that was a hideous color. They are eggplant with a little splash of pizzaz on the back. I don't want to give away all the details of the wedding so I'm not going to post pictures, but just know that they are very simple and elegant--the theme of my wedding.

Save the Dates

Wow. It has been awhile since my last post. And one would think that I would've gotten a lot done in that time but we really haven't. I've officially entered "survival" mode of my first year teaching and it takes all I have to get through a day. And then when I'm home the wedding is one of the last things on my mind. But we have been somewhat productive...


Yep. We finally got out our STDs (Save The Dates)! My MOH Meghan & I worked all afternoon yesterday putting them together. I had the postcards made through Vistaprint (for FREE!) then we magnetized and cut them. We printed out the background cards and they are glue-dotted on. (FYI, if you recieved one in the mail the glue dots come off before you put them on the fridge.)
This is my first DIY project that is completed and I'm stoked!


Hopefully they will start arriving Tuesday.


Blake's mom has most of the rehearsal dinner stuff together... I guess I better get rolling. Hopefully the bridesmaids dresses & my bridal gown will arrive in the next few weeks and then that stuff will start rolling. But for now, I'm just looking forward to Spring Break :)

Flowers!

Did I mention that we have a florist? We met with Val back in January and knew off the bat that she'd do a great job. She's got incredible talent and is so willing to work with us for whatever we want. I'm going with mostly calla lillies in purple and white. And then the flower arrangements will be other purples. I'm stoked!

We also got access to our online proofs of our engagement pictures and have spent most of the day looking at them. So be on the lookout for a massive invasion of the engagement pictures on everything :)
