Engagement Pics

The dvd with our Engagement Pictures arrived in the mail today! We are soo excited and can't wait to develop some into pictures. Our photographer is Ginny Corbett and she is amazing. I couldn't ask to work with anyone better.

"I've talked to your dad, go pick out a white dress... that was fun!"

Of course, the Wednesday before we left for our Pre-Moon my wedding dress came in. We left Saturday so there was no way Momma & I could get to Burlington before our flight out of RDU so I had to wait the ENTIRE week to go get my dress.

So Saturday we went to Burlington and got my dress. Oh my goodness! It is beautiful and amazing. And it fits almost perfectly. The hem falls just right. The waist is just right. The only adjustment is that I need help in the boobage area. I mean, if you haven't noticed yet, that is one of the few places I wasn't blessed in. So we met with our seamstress on Sunday and she is going to take care of that for us and bustle it.

While we were trying on the dress Sunday (and Blake & Daddy went to Lowe's), my parents' neighbor brought over our Flower Girl in her dress and she is soooo completely adorable! Things are really starting to come together.

Now if I can just finish up with these graduate classes and EOGs at school so I can have a summer to work on wedding!!

Pre-Mooning

There are a few perks to being an teacher besides influencing and inspiring the lives of young people and that is June, July, August, and Spring Break. Just in the nick of time and right when I felt like I couldn't make it through the rest of the year... I was saved by the Cruise.

Blake & I got engaged on our dating anniversary - November 25. It was for this same anniversary that I bought Blake & myself a week-long cruise over Spring Break. (I mean I got the ring for that anniversary and all he got was a cruise... I definitely came out on the better end of that deal.)

Little did I know how incredibly important it was going to be for us to get away over Spring Break. Of course there is a ton that needs to be done at home for the wedding, my classes, Blake's classes, my teaching... but we needed a time to get away and just be us together. It was amazing. I call it our "Pre-Moon."

We had a blast in Grand Cayman & Cozumel and just enjoying being together. We even did a couple massage! I don't know many Southern Guys who will admit to having a massage but Blake LOVED it. I definitely look forward to our Honeymoon now in Hawaii. Another week off in Paradise.
